About ImmunityCheck
ImmunityCheck exists to answer a simple question that turns out to be surprisingly hard: which vaccines and titers do you actually need? The CDC publishes a clear schedule, but reading it as a non-clinician means jumping between age tables, medical-condition tables, addendums, and clarifying notes.
The tool asks a few short questions — age, purpose, chronic conditions, prior doses — and maps your answers against the same schedule a clinician would consult.
How the recommendations are generated
Every recommendation is driven by a rules file that mirrors the published CDC/ACIP adult immunization schedule. For each vaccine, the file encodes: age windows, dose counts, prior-immunity conditions, risk factors, and special populations (healthcare workers, college students, pregnant people, immigration applicants, international travelers). When you answer the questionnaire, the engine checks each vaccine's rules against your answers and returns any that fire.
The rules are reviewed at least annually — typically each winter when ACIP updates its recommendations. The current review date is printed at the bottom of the site footer.
What ImmunityCheck is not
- It is not medical advice. A licensed clinician has to make the final call, especially if you have complex medical conditions or a history of vaccine reactions.
- It is not a substitute for your state or country's official schedule. Individual employers, schools, and governments can require more than ACIP recommends.
- It does not know your medical record. The tool only knows what you tell it. If you're not sure whether you've had a vaccine, mark it as unknown and follow up with your provider or your state's immunization registry.
Privacy
The questionnaire is anonymous. We don't ask for your name, email, or date of birth — only your age. Your answers are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server or stored anywhere unless you explicitly opt in to email results (a feature we plan to add).
Referral relationship
ImmunityCheck is operated as a public information resource by the team behind SchoolTiters.com, a direct-to-consumer titer testing service. When the tool identifies a vaccine that has a titer available (MMR, varicella, hepatitis A, hepatitis B), it links to SchoolTiters as one option for ordering testing. You are free to use any provider you like.
